The “Pitch to Pitch” event, held on 20 February 2025 in Colombo, celebrated the achievements of Sri Lankan women in New Zealand, particularly highlighting the Sri Lanka Women’s Cricket Team ahead of their 2025 Tour of New Zealand. The event was graced by senior government officials, diplomats, business leaders, and media. It showcased the role of Sri Lankan communities abroad in promoting the country’s brand, emphasizing the power of cultural exchange and the global recognition of Sri Lanka’s talent and hospitality. The New Zealand High Commission, with the support of the Sri Lanka-Australia-New Zealand-Business Council (SLANZBC), Sri Lanka Cricket, and Soul Sounds, organized the event.
